The Edmonton International Street Performers Festival was the first of its kind in North America. Now in its 25th year, it is known worldwide for its amazing artists and generous audiences. Since 1984, almost four million people have played in the streets and shared a laugh with us at StreetFest. That’s a lot of smiles and chuckles.
As we celebrate our 25th Anniversary, we welcome you to our NEW website. Here you can find out about our history, our programs, our 2009 cast, our schedule of events, and how YOU can get involved. We invite you to take a “rove” through our site…both at www.edmontonstreetfest.com AND on Sir Winston Churchill Square in Downtown Edmonton. We’ll be there with an international cast of jugglers, acrobats, hip hop dancers, sword-swallowers, musicians and more. The festival will feature over 1500 outdoor performances - and a few indoor shows – over ten days this July.
Juggle your schedule, circle your calendar and visit us often! We’d love to share a laugh with you.
Weather Apology
Thank you to our patrons for their patience and understanding this week as we were hit with inclement weather. Although we strive to keep the show going, rain or shine, the safety of our audiences and artists always comes first. As the sun is now shining and the weather forecast is favourable over the next few days, we invite you to visit us on the Square and share a laugh with our international cast of artists as we continue to celebrate the 25th anniversary of StreetFest. The shows are on until Sunday, July 12 at 5pm. See you on the Square!
